The
predecessor firm of Ames & Whitaker was founded
in Waterbury, CT in 1947 and became a professional corporation
in 1970. In 1990 the firm name became Ames & Whitaker.
Our office is located one block west of the Green in
downtown Southington, Connecticut.
At Ames & Whitaker each member of our staff
is given the opportunity to gain the depth and breadth
of experience that is essential for his or her technical
and professional growth. However, it is, and will continue
to be, our policy to designate a principal of the firm
to work with our clients in an active role from inception
to completion. Due to the size of the firm, the principal-in-charge
is a working member of the team with an intimate knowledge
of the entire project.
The firm has received awards for excellence of design
for public and private clients from organizations such
as the American Library Association, the American Institute
of Architects, the Connecticut Building Congress and
AIA Connecticut.
As an established, well-managed corporation, our financial
stability has been consistently above question. Financial
statements, bank and trade references can be supplied
upon request.
It is a guiding premise at Ames & Whitaker
that outstanding design and technical ability must be
supplemented at all times by an awareness that
the reason for our success is our perception of architecture
as a service to our clients. |
