Ames & Whitaker is a professional corporation with offices located in Southington, CT. Our predecessor firm was established in Waterbury in 1947 and became a corporate practice in 1970. We became Ames & Whitaker in 1990. Ames & Whitaker is owned and managed by four principals: T. Gregory Ames, Jr., AIA, Stephen C. Whitaker, AIA, Roger W. Saulnier, AIA, LEED AP and Alan S. Lagocki, AIA, LEED AP.

Ames & Whitaker maintains a staff of 10 people. Four individuals are registered architects in Connecticut. Other registrations are carried for all of New England. The firm's principals have been in practice for over 30 years. The firm's principals, senior staff and architects-in-training are all members of the American Institute of Architects and AIA Connecticut.

The fully equipped office includes XP based drafting stations utilizing Autocad Architectural Suite 2009 software. All systems are networked using MS Server 2003. Ames & Whitaker maintains workmen's compensation and standard public liability insurance. Our professional liability insurance coverage is in the amount of $1,000,000.

Ames & Whitaker is licensed as a corporation for the practice of architecture by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (license #11).
