Ames & Whitaker is a professional corporation with offices located in Southington, CT. Our predecessor firm was established in Waterbury in 1947 and became a corporate practice in 1970. We became Ames & Whitaker in 1990. Ames & Whitaker is owned and managed by two principals: Roger W. Saulnier, AIA, LEED AP and Alan Lagocki, LEED AP, AIA.
Ames & Whitaker is licensed as a corporation for the practice of architecture by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (license #11). The Firm is an equal opportunity employer and has an affirmative action statement which has been found to be acceptable by all federal, state and municipal agencies for whom services have been provided.

Ames & Whitaker specializes in sustainable public and institutional architecture throughout Connecticut and New England, offering comprehensive high quality services. Our public project experience encompasses all types of buildings including educational facilities for all age levels, community centers, fire stations, garages, police headquarters, town and city halls, and libraries for local, state and federal governments. Our private project experience includes banks, churches, office buildings, industrial and retailing facilities, nursing and senior care, and all types of residential architecture.

Our fully equipped office includes AutoCad based drafting stations utilizing the latest version of AutoCad Architecture Engineering & Construction Collection, Revit, BIM software, and Sketch-Up. All systems are networked using MS Small Business Server.
